Karen Estes Dudley - Senior Pastor
E-mail Karen Estes

Karen Estes Dudley was born in Reydon, Oklahoma and is the mother of three. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1995, specializing in Urban and Pastoral Ministries. Dudley is an Ordained Minister and for the past decade has been ministering the Word of God in the streets and jails throughout the metroplex of the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

In 1997, Karen founded and is currently pastoring the DALLAS INTERNATIONAL STREET CHURCH (DISC) in Dallas, Texas. The DISC is a ministry geared to meeting the needs of God's most broken people through Spiritual, Emotional, Physical and Educational Renewal. In February 2004, DISC moved from downtown to South Dallas, a notorious drug area. Children and families, whose lives are splintered, are being affected by nightly church services, programs for children, Bible Studies and free clothing distribution.

In Rev. Dudley's ministry to the most broken of God's people, she has established men's and women's discipleship programs, children's programs, ministered to families, the homeless, those in jail and coming out of jail, male and female prostitutes, crack addicts and alcoholics. She has truly reached down into the trenches and brought God's people out, one by one, as He has led, with the unending Love and Forgiveness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Karen Dudley is an inspirational and dynamic motivational speaker. In her presentation, she shares the "How To" of planting an inner city work, as well as sustaining and growing this work. It has been a total walk of faith as she has been completely dependant on and taught of the Lord. Her work, as been said, is a "Modern Day Miracle of God". She is eager to share her knowledge and experiences in an effort to assist you in establishing your urban work, or to show you ways in which your church or organization can become involved with The DALLAS INTERNATIONAL STREET CHURCH reaching into this vast harvest of souls in urban America.

This is Chris, a resident here at Dallas International Street Church:
My Story is part of the new poor working class. I have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Alabama A & M University in 1996. I taught Second Grade and First Grade at a private school in Detroit, MI for five years. I started using crack cocaine recreationally. I moved here to Dallas in 2001. I taught school here in Dallas(substituting) for five years with many long term assignments for D.I.S.D. I was an excellent teacher and favorite of the kids, parents and teachers. I did allow crack cocaine to take control over my life.It wasn't recreation anymore, It became a lifestyle. So much so that I found myself missing work, not paying bills, missing rent and so on. I LOST EVERYTHING. I was on the street. I always had my faith but the God ( I have been saved since 1992 when I confessed Jesus as my Lord and Savior) but I was living as a "Carnal Christian". To fast forward my story to the here and now, God led me to the Dallas International Street Church. I had heard of the work that Pastor Karen was doing for the homeless, Drug addict (that would be me. the man with a college degree and God giving teaching ability). So I joined the discipleship Program and I have been blessed since. I Know my CALLING. I'm here serving the Lord in whatever capacity I can. I know " That all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are CALLED to his purpose" Romans 8:28. God Bless you all.

May God Bless you Today

Chris Wilson
