WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?  Peter said in his great sermon on the day of penecost.....where about three thousand people came into the Kingdom.....

"...Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38

The following tract was written by Pastor H. Donald Skelton, Victory Tabernacle Church, Dallas, Texas.  He has gone on to be with the Lord, but he is still speaking through this powerful salvation message:

"WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?"

ETERNITY, ETERNITY, no one on earth can fully understand the meaning of ETERNITY.  In a very true sense you can never spend ETERNITY, you can spend a million dollars, but ETERNITY, in that sense will never be spent! 

Dictionary definition "infinite duration, unending existence."  The Holy Bible says in Genesis 1:26, "God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness." God is eternal, you were made in His image and likeness. YOU are eternal in your spirit, it is true you must face death to your body.  "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this judgement," Hebrews 9:27. What a solemn thought to receive a judgement for eternity.

You may ask, "What can I do?" The Holy Bible says "Prepare to meet thy God," Amos 4:12. If you had to go to an earthly court, the first thing you need is a lawyer to plead your case. I am so glad to tell you there is one for the court of heaven. Best of all this one, the Holy Bible calls ADVOCATE, loves you so much he died to save You from eternal punishment. 1 John 2:1, "And if ANY man sin we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous." If you will stop and think of the terrible judgement bar of God to face it with no friend to plead your case. Facing Eternity with these words of judgement, "Depart from me ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels," Matt. 25:41. The Bible tells us that this everlasting fire was meant for the devil and his angels, not for mankind, but if you are stubborn and rebellious and reject the blessed Lord Jesus Christ that loved you enough to die for you, and He is in heaven this moment pleading for you.  Then you must go to that everlasting fire and face Eternity with the devil and his angels. Because they are sinful and rebellious too. Do not let stubbornness and rebellion rule you any longer. If you reject Jesus, in the sight of God you are guilty of Three horrible sins. Listen to Hebrews 10:29 - "Of how much sorer punishment shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God who has counted and the Blood of an unholy thing, and hath done despite to the Spirit of Grace."

Reader, if you have rejected Jesus You are guilty of these three awful sins. "Trodden underfoot the Son of God! In God's sight you have walked on His dear Son if you reject Him. "Counted the Blood an unholy thing!" His precious blood was shed for you, please don't count it as unholy. "Done despite to the Spirit of Grace!" That is something that tells you to serve God, that is God's Spirit. When you reject Him you have done despite in God's sight. You have insulted His Holy Spirit. God said in Genesis 6:3 - "My Spirit will not always strive with man." Again, we read in God's word "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God." Eph. 4:30. If you reject the Lord Jesus today, remember, you will face the judgement bar of God. God's great love has made a way for you to escape. Accept Jesus as your own personal Savior.

Do you realize your responsibility to God and to others? The Bible says "None of us liveth to himself," Rom. 14:7. You are influencing others for Eternity. If in the everlasting fire one of your loved ones said, You influenced me to come to this eternal place of sorrow. "HEAVENLY FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE FOR ME AND FOR YOUR GIFT OF YOUR SON JESUS TO DIE FOR ALL WHO HAVE SINNED. I NOW TURN TO YOU, TO ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS MY SAVIOR. I ASK YOU TO FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS AND GIVE ME ETERNAL LIFE. AND I PRAY, DEAR GOD, THAT YOU WILL LEAD ME IN YOUR WAY AS I SEEK YOUR WILL FOR MY LIFE. IN JESUS' NAME, AMEN."
